Nick Mattson (born October 25, 1991) is an American ice hockey defenseman who is currently playing for the North Dakota Fighting Sioux men's ice hockey team which competes in NCAA's Division I in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association conference. Mattson was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 6th round (180th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Mattson came to the University of North Dakota after playing in the USHL with the Indiana Ice where he was named the USHL's 2010–11 Defenseman of the Year.[1] and was also named to the 2010–11 USHL First All-Star Team.[2]
